Begonia House; opened in 1936, was the last large structure to be built in Machattie Park. Over 200 plants are now on display. The begonias flower between February and May. Venue: Machattie Park, William Street, Time: Mon -Fri 9am -4pm, Sun & Public Hols 11am – 3pm. Cost: FREE

Bathurst Regional Art Gallery – The Garden of Forking Paths, features works by Laurie Anderson (USA), Michael Nyman (UK) and Anita Fontaine (Aust) that draw together notable historic and contemporary computer games, pushing the bounds of the genre and breaking the orthodox set of rules.

1st April      38th Annual Easter Motorcycle Rallyview and inspect motorcyles from 1910 to 1980 at the National Racing Museum on the first day of the rally. Cost: FREE,

6th-8th April    Bathurst Motor Festival – an ideal weekend of motorsport excitement over Easter that will include car club displays, parade laps and access to the circuit, pit areas and competitors. Venue: Mount Panorama, Time: 8.15am, Cost: Bank note donation – proceeds to Legacy

7th April    Bell Tower Open Day – visit Bathurst’s newest Bell Tower. All five levels will be open and tours will be conducted by one of the bell ringers. Venue: All Saint’s Cathedral, Church St, Time: 10am to 12pm, 1.30pm to 3.30pm. Cost: $5 Adults, $2 under 12 years. Contact: 0263322830
